There are just some of the unique features that the Seychelles offer visitors. These islands have never succumbed to attempts to sacrifice their natural beauty. Even those who have been spoilt by the beauty of Mahe, Praslin or La Digue, will be stunned by the seascapes, flora and fauna of these minor islands located on a map within 30 nautical miles of the three most famous pearls of the archipelago. There are Grande Soeur, Petite Soeur, Curieuse, Marianne, Cousin, Cousine, Fregate, Coco, Félicité, to name just a few, that can be reached by boat transfers or scenic flights. Not to be outdone, the same feeling of unspoiled and natural enjoyment permeates the cultural and sporting events in Victoria and neighborhood, like Carnaval International de Victoria and Festival Kreol. Be it from the air or from under the ocean, these islands are a feast for the eyes. Colours! From deep ultramarine to sparkling turquoise … how many shades of blue can you see? Birds! The Seychelles are a heaven of peace for numerous seabirds. Fish! Small and colourful, or large and fast, they are everywhere, making the Seychelles one of the richest waters in the world. Giant tortoises outnumbering the people! Spectacle of baby turtles moving in a group towards the sea, after just hatching from their eggs! Hotels that blend in the backgrounds, never exceeding the height of the coconut trees, almost all of them serving authentic Creole and International cuisine and special dinners for honeymooners, organizing boat cruises, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling and visits to the neighbouring islands, and providing night entertainment. Not to forget the small guesthouses and selfcaterings offering cosy bungalows or styled chalets with traditional palm roof, takamaka-wood furniture and veranda with panaromic seaview. And the luxury villas with unrivaled beauty. What to do in Seychelles? Divers and anglers will be able to push their limits further, whereas others will explore the beaches or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil island style. After sport, there’s no better place to relax and unwind than in one of the best Seychelles’ spas. Creole cuisine is influenced by the mixed cultures of the peoples. Spices flavour savory dishes of fresh fish, seafood and local products. The choice is vast, from the themed buffets in the main restaurants, the “à la carte” gourmet restaurants, the restaurants feet in the sand on the beach or by the pool. At night, the ambience is enriched by the local rythms of live bands, the possibility to enjoy an exotic cocktail, a sega or moutia dance or to play at the Roulette, Blackjack and Poker tables in one of the numerous casinos. The evenings can also be filled with just listening to the sounds of nature, the song of birds and the breaking of waves.
